Eastern White Pine Beams

Our Eastern White Pine Heavy Timber Beams are available in a wide variety of dimensions and are priced by the linear foot.

• Drying: Air-dried
• Length Options: 8' to 24', available in even lengths
• Finishing Options: S4S - Smooth Four Sides, Rustic Hewn, Scallop Hewn, and Fresh-Sawn Rough. With Fresh-Sawn, the mill cuts the timber with a bandsaw to provide a rough-sawn texture that is also bright and uniform in appearance.
• Grading: Our beams are non-grademarked, but are generally conforming to NeLMA #2 Eastern White Pine Timber Grade.
• Dimensions: Our heavy timber beams are quoted as Standard Dimensions. WWPA guidelines for Standard Dimension timbers state that beams smaller than 8" are to be milled down to the nearest 1/2 inch. (Example: a nominal 4"x6" timber nets to 3 ½”x5 ½” actual dimensions after it has been sawn.) All beams larger than 8” are to mill down to the nearest ¼” inch. (Example: A 8x12 Beam will net an overall 7 ½”x 11 ¼”.) Full Dimension beams are available on request. This requires purchasing the next dimension larger, and cutting the timber down to the requested dimension.
• Lead Time: Our White Pine Beams are cut to order. Lead time for timbers is typically 2-3 weeks from the date of order and is dependent upon stock availability. Lead time may vary on large orders or oversized timbers. Allow for additional processing time for hand-hewn timbers.
• Shipping Options: Flat-bed tractor trailer, Roll Back, and LTL trucking. Shipping method is determined based on location and order size to minimize cost. When Shipping via LTL Carrier, the longest length available for shipping is 12’. Timbers are also available for pickup at our store.
• Price Changes: Beam prices are subject to change due to market fluctuations.
• Quotes: Quotes will be provided to and verified by the customer before any processing works begins on beams.
• Takeoffs: We offer free take-offs using customary sizing methods. We recommend that you have all beam sizes reviewed and approved by a contractor or structural engineer.
